Annette Downey has nearly 30 years of experience working with children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She’s worked at all levels of the mental health system and knows the impact of merging policy with practice. Annette regularly speaks on the topics of Self-Determination, Person-Centered Planning, and Income Generation for ALL. Her approach is high energy and person-centered.
Annette is a trainer and consultant for the National Center for Self-Determination and serves as the President/CEO of Community Living Services in Southeast Michigan. Her training and advocacy are driven toward a singular goal, putting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities into the position of power and authority over their life, their goals, and their budgets.
